We are looking for an experienced Merchant Acquisition Manager to help us find the very best pet-care service providers in Singapore and showcase the benefits of listing as a partner on our platform. As a marketplace, our customers rely on our ability to offer vetted professional services that can be trusted with looking after their pets. Your main role will be to prospect, educate and on-board a variety of merchants in many different areas of pet-care and build lasting relationships with them so we can improve our service and keep our supply chain happy.
We want to help all animals tell us how they feel. To reach our vision, we’re using technology to create a full service pet platform; from a wearable hardware device to track the animal’s vital signs and activity levels, to an online ecosystem and booking portal to organise anything the pet might require.
MyPetGo is a ‘Rhino Ventures Asia’ company, a sustainability-focused venture-builder headquartered in Singapore, with an innovation lab in Da Nang, Vietnam. Created in 2020, we’re a team of incredibly driven and inspired individuals, working together to bring our shared vision to life. Although working remotely now, we hope to share the same offices again when time allows it!
Our Merchant Acquisition Manager will be the front-facing ambassador for MyPetGo and will lead to the rapid growth of our commercial partnerships in Singapore.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Work closely with the business development manager; they will be providing you with a list of “hot” leads - you will be responsible for converting these leads into merchants on the MyPetGo platform
Manage and foster relationships with merchants, and provide an exceptional customer experience
You will be the main point of contact for the MyPetGo merchants, so you will be managing all key accounts
Research creative strategies for merchant retention
Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell
Regularly feedback merchant issues to relevant departments to improve processes
Align your sales strategies with company-wide goals and objectives - you will be responsible for hitting monthly KPI’s and sharing your progress with the team
Be a subject matter expert and be able to answer any questions that are thrown your way regarding MyPetGo business partners
Working closely with our CEO in Singapore and our core team for regular updates and insights and to action any new business requirements that affect our merchants
Refining our merchant contract policies and keeping all documentation in order
Planning & strategizing the launch of new ventures within the Rhino Ventures Asia portfolio roadmap
Experience in B2B sales or partner relations in a management role (3+ years experience)
Proven ability hitting and exceeding commercial targets
Track record of building relationships with a similar or transferable target audience
Strong presentation skills and ability to translate complex technology to less tech-savvy merchants
Confident using lead generation CRM’s such as Hubspot, Pipedrive
Self-motivated and results-driven sales professional
Competent working independently and as part of a team
Good command of the English language, both written and verbal. Mandarin a plus
